• How many streets can I adopt?
You can adopt one or more streets but we encourage you to focus on just one street.
• Can more than one person pray for a street?
Yes, more than one person can pray for a street. Each person should however register separately as an adopter of that street.
• Can I opt out whenever I want?
Yes, you can opt out whenever you want however we would like you pray for your adopted street for at least three months. After this period you can deregister from your adopted street when you stop praying for it regularly.
• Can I opt out of one street and decide to pray for another?
Yes you can. Let’s say for instance you move from one area to another you can deregister from the street you have moved out of and adopt the street you have moved into.
•Can people who do not live in Malaysia or country adopt a street?
Yes, anyone can adopt the street from anywhere in the world.
• How often should I pray for my street?
We would like you to pray for your street daily. If you are a regular praying person, make praying for your adoptive street part of your daily routine. If you do not pray regularly. Try praying for your street every two or three days. Your street needs regular prayers every week of the entire year.
• What else can I do for the street I’ve adopted?
We recommend you develop a relationship with the inhabitants of the street you’ve adopted. This can be achieved by doing a prayer walk on that street and helping out when the need(s) arise for example by helping to clear driveways or grit the roads during the snow.
• Where should I pray?
You can pray anywhere: at home, on the street, wherever is comfortable for you to connect with God about your street.
• What times are the best to pray for our streets?
Anytime is prayer time. Do your best to ensure your prayers are routine to be effective. Jesus often prayed very early in the mornings. Perhaps you can emulate Him.
• How is ‘Pray-Adopt-A-Street’ involving the authorities in its activities?
The Christian efforts of praying for our streets are complimentary to the efforts of the civic authority’s attempts to build a peaceful and harmonious community. Our efforts are independent but they work together.
• Can I form a prayer group to pray our streets?
Yes you can form a prayer group but each person needs to register for the street(s) he or she is praying for.
